Our Founding Ladies saw Lambda Kappa Omega as a society; to unite

and empower women in sisterhood, promote awareness to the

community. Bonded through Lambda, united through Kappa, completed

through Omega. Purity, loyalty, determination our founders' ultimate

goal. Founded on December 5th, 2007, in Philadelphia PA. Blazing the

trail for those yet to come— founded the Alpha Chapter of

Lambda Kappa Omega Sorority, Incorporated.

Twenty Seven years of Sisterhood

Lakeisha and Maria attended Cheyney University, where Lakeisha was the big sister to Maria through an Auxiliary organization. Throughout the years a friendship and bond were built. Both Ladies opted out of joining any other organizations, however, they were very active in the organization even after their time at school. After heavy consideration, the ladies reached out for assistance from a big brother (R. Frank) and began starting our sorority. Originally the sorority was called Kappa Gamma Omega, but at the advice of R. Frank, it was later changed to Lambda Kappa Omega. The women spent countless nights creating bylaws, spiels, and original material. This was a massive change because at the time the spiels and information for all of the divine nine organizations was all they knew. They wanted to bring over the lessons they learned on sisterhood, determination, and deference, to name a few. Their determination and hard work, with R. Frank creating all-new original speils each containing a secret meaning. Our Founders are proud of their history and love their brothers while continuing to trailblaze into the future.
